Book signing at 18th Annual Mountain of Authors

I’m thrilled to be selected as a showcase author for the 18th annual PPLD Mountain of Authors on Saturday, June 22 from 12-4:30 p.m. at the Venue, Library 21C, 1175 Chapel Hills Dr. I’ll be signing copies of my book, Only Flying. Mountain of Authors (MOA) is an annual community program that provides an opportunity for the public and local authors to network, listen to notable authors, and learn more about the craft of writing and trends in publishing. It is free to attend, there is no registration, and all are welcome!

12:00 p.m. – 1 p.m. – Panelist and Showcase Authors, book sales and signings*

1 p.m. – 2 p.m. – Author Panel Featuring Tanja Britton, Stewart Green, and Susan Joy Paul

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Keynote Speaker Adrian Miller

4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Keynote book signing, Showcase Author book sales and signings*

Only Flying is a Pushcart-nominated collection of surreal free verse and prose poetry that celebrates transformation and paradox, exploring both the silence of the seeker and the outrageous wilderness of the imagination. Thematic threads like rebellion, enlightenment, risk, courage, love, loss, and triumph dance with pictures swinging from dark to light, surreal to whimsical, and strange to familiar. There are intimate goddesses here, black widows, buddhas, alley cats, a kangaroo, and magic pants—blacklight-blue Hendrix flares that hang from a fire escape, just waiting for the right person to jump up and steal them. That person is you.
